Dates to remember:Don't Forget...Angel's Prayer Of The Day | For God's Glory Alone Ministries

February 12 – Valentines – Students may bring valentines for their classmates if they wish. We respectfully decline treats this year. Thank you! Last day cutlery will be provided for students ordering from the Healthy School Food Program.

February 15 – Islander Day (Statutory Holiday)Starting this week students ordering Healthy School Food Program must bring their own cutlery.

February 16 – 19 – Teacher Appreciation Week                                                                          We are still looking for lots of handmade notes or pictures from your children expressing their appreciation for their teachers, and also still collecting gift cards and/or small monetary donations (details below).

We have two asks of parents this year for Teacher Appreciation Week:

  • If you can have your child write a note, draw a picture, or make a sign expressing their gratitude to school staff, Home & School will collect these and put them to good use. Completed notes, pictures, drawings, etc should be put in an envelope (so your work is a surprise to staff) labelled “Teacher Appreciation – Office” and can be sent to school with your child anytime up to Friday, February 12. Envelopes will be collected from each class.
  • In lieu of potluck donations, we are collecting donations of gift cards or monetary donations. Gift cards can be for anywhere, but please limit to $5 or $10 denominations. Monetary donations can be made (if you wish) via etransfer to HomeandschoolSES@gmail.com. Gift card donations can be dropped off to the office in an envelope labelled “Teacher Appreciation – Office”.

We also want to say a huge THANK YOU to Nimrods’ for graciously donating donuts for our entire staff!!!

Thank you from your Home and School Association!

Students in Grades 3 and 4 will be departing the school at 2:20pm until 2:30pm. The Grade 5 and 6 students will leave the school at about 2:30 until 2:35pm. This change has been required to cover instructional time for students.
