Congratulations to the boys on going undefeated in winning our very own Paul Nogler Basketball Tournament and bringing the trophy back to Stonepark after a 2 year absent …. the Tournament started on Thursday with a 46-41 win over Summerside … scorers were Kalon MacDonald-Wood 19 points, Kallen Power 11 points, Owen Headley 9 points, Jakob Beairsto 3 points and Adrian Meiji and Aiden Maas with 2 each… player of the Game was Owen Headley…then on Friday in front of students and staff Kalon MacDonald-Wood scored a blistering school high 44 points in leading the boys to a win over Birchwood … also scoring were Kallen Power and Willis Bulger with 4 points and Owen Headley, Jakob Beairsto and Noah Stanley with 2 points each …player of the game was Kalon MacDonald-Wood ….. in the semi final they played Athena and came away with a 62-52 win … scoring for the team was Kalon MacDonald-Wood 25 points, Owen Headley 19 points, RJ Acorn 8 points, Kallen Power 5 points, Willis Bulger and Aiden Maas with 2 points and Adrian Meiji with 1 … player of the Game was Kallen Power…. then in the championship game they played a back and forth game against Queen Charlotte and came away with a hard fought overall team effort in a 54-51 win …. scorers were Kalon MacDonald-Wood 18 points, Kallen Power 15 points, Owen Headley 12 points, Willis Bulger 4 points, Adrian Meiji 3 points and Noah Stanley with 2 points … player of the Game was Willis Bulger.
Girls AA Basketball:
Once again it was a successful weekend of basketball for the Tigers, going 4 and 0 to pick up the Nogler championship here at Stonepark. Katie Vidito, Cassidy Hurley, Ava Sinnott and Lydia Doyle picked up player of the game awards during the tournament.
