Girls Assembly:
There will be a short assembly for all female students in Grades 8 and 9 in the cafeteria during reading period today. Students will be back in class for 5th period.

Youth Video Contest:

Students can enter the Youth Video Contest being put on by the City of Charlottetown by creating a short video on their phones with their ideas for how we can reduce our energy use and help fight climate change! They can enter as an individual, in a group, or even as a class for a chance to win a tablet, Bluetooth speaker, or solar powered charging dock! Duke of Edinburgh Trip:
The trip Will Be Rescheduled to Thursday, Feb. 22 and Friday, Feb. 23. Due to the weather forecast – again, we are rescheduling – again. There is a significant risk of falls and breaks when walking, skiing, snowshoeing or hiking on ice.  Given the forecast, that is what we would be on. We will be planning both an indoor and outdoor activity for the next rip which will go ahead no matter what!!

Math Tutoring:
There will be NO TUTORING this Thursday, it will restart next Thursday (22nd.)

Leadership Students:
There will be a meeting at lunch time today for all leadership students. We need to finalize our winter carnival job list. Location to be announced.

Any Students interested in signing up for the Stonepark Olympic Games come down to the physical literacy center at morning break or lunch.  Sign up as an individual and you will be assigned a country to represent as a team with other students.   Bobsledding will be the first event on Wednesday.

Boys AA Basketball:
The Stonepark AA boys basketball team were still down a man and with 8 players played a great game against Birchwood. After the first half they were down 33 – 30 and after the 3rd Birchwood was leading 43 – 37 but in the 4th quarter they outscored Birchwood 20 – 12 to pull out a 57 – 55 win …… the team was lead by Kalon MacDonald-Wood with 32 points ….. Sam Wang with 16 points and Patrick Muise with 6 points ….other scorers were Gabe Trainor  with 2 and Kallen Power with 1 …….with the win the team finished the season in 3rd place and will play Queen Charlotte in the playoffs
