Many in our Greenfield community would know the Kingyens family. Their oldest son Nate is a student at Greenfield. The Kingyens’ younger son, Camden, was diagnosed with a serious illness just before Christmas. Camden is at the IWK for treatment and will have to travel to Toronto for further medical intervention. Our thoughts and prayers are with this family as Camden receives medical treatments he needs.
We know that our Greenfield families and staff want to support the Kingyens and provide whatever help they can. We will be having a number of “special days” to fundraise for the family. On Fridays for the next few weeks we will have a special activity/event and students can bring in whatever change or dollars they wish. We know that our Greenfield community will do what they can.
Friday, January 17th – “Cuddles for Camden” – Students can bring a favorite stuffed toy to school.
Friday, January 24th – “PJ’s and Bring Your Favorite Book” – For Family Literacy Day with a “Read a Thon.”
Friday, January 31st – “Jersey Day” – Wear a jersey and enjoy some extra play time.
Friday, February 7th – “Blue and Orange Day” – Wear Camden’s favorite colours!
Friday, February 14th – Red and White Day” – It’s Valentine’s Day and we are going to sock hop/dance!
Thank for supporting for this brave little boy and his family.
