School Staff Appreciation Week 2020:

  • School staff will be celebrated across Canada February 10-14, 2020. Form a Home and School Staff Appreciation committee to make plans for showing appreciation to school staff for the contributions they make to our children and their education. Keep plans simple! A little appreciation goes a long way!

President’s Annual Reports due February 28:

  • Presidents are asked to submit an Annual Report on your Home and School’s activities for this school year. Start your report early and record Sept/Oct/Nov/Dec. activities and in January, add all upcoming events/discussions to the end of June. Friday, Nov. 22, 2019 – Day 1

Christmas Families:

  • Candy Cane sales will start on Monday in the lobby at break and lunch. They will be 25 cents for small, 50 cents for large. All proceeds will help support Birchwood families at Christmas.

Dodgeball :

  • 1st game :  BULLDOGS VS. STARS
  • 2nd game :  FLAMES VS. FRENCH FRIES

Curling:

  • Learn to Curl starts November 27 and it will run on Wednesdays from 4-5:45pm.  All the participants need is a clean pair of sneakers and a helmet. Registration is $132 (taxes included) for the 8-week program.  Please email aduncan@sportpei.pe.ca

New bell schedule:

  • Starting Today,  we will be starting our day ten minutes later at 8:55AM.  The day will still end at 3:00PM. Break and lunch will be reduced by five minutes.  We hope this change will allow students who face transportation delays a better start to their day.

  • Birchwood students will be attending the annual Islanders hockey game on Wednesday, November 20th at 10:00 a.m. at the Eastlink Centre.
  • Students will be walking to the Eastlink center at 9:30.
  • This will be an off grounds day for grade 7’s as well.

Outdoor Adventure club:
