Monday, April 15, 2019 – Day 4

  • This past week, one of our student athletes, Hailey Murphy had the opportunity to play in the 2019 Canadian Ringette Championships here on PEI. Hailey’s PEI U16 Wave Ringette team made history by being the first team from PEI to medal in the forty one year history of this tournament. At the beginning of the week, Hailey’s team was ranked 19th out of the 19 teams participating in the tournament and in the end after the dust settled, they came away with a silver medal. Hailey played a great offensive game in the tournament and shot the game winning goal in overtime during the quarter finals to advance the team to the semi finals. Mrs. Jeffery also had a great experience watching her daughter Sophia being named as a 1st team all-star for the tournament. Congrats to both girls on this amazing achievement.
