Birchwood Grade 9 trip Update

Dear Parents/Guardians,
As you are aware, we have moved our departure to Sunday, January 20, at 5:00am. We are asking students to arrive at the school by 4:30am to load the buses. We have been monitoring the weather closely, and we will be stopping in Edmundston, NB. We have rooms booked in Fredericton, NB,  if we are only able to travel that far. The tour operator and drivers will decide how far we go. Remember to pack warm gear.  Extreme cold temps right now.
We do appreciate your patience and understanding, and we are looking forward to a great week with the students.
Target Tours will be updating travel and activities on Facebook and Twitter while we are away.
Thank you,
Birchwood Grade 9 Trip

Friday, Jan. 18, 2019 – Day 4

Grade 9 Trip:
  • As most of you have probably noticed, there is a major storm system headed our way.  At this point, we can’t predict what the outcome will be, however, we are monitoring it closely with John Dunphy at Target Tours.  There is a possibility the itinerary will shift one day, meaning we leave Sunday morning, and return Thursday.   As soon as a decision has been made, we will communicate with you through email, Birchwood website, Target Tours twitter and radio.
  • Due to the fact that the season of sickness is among us, we would encourage students to pack the following:
    • tylenol/advil, gravol, hand sanitizer, and anything else you feel your son and daughter will need to be comfortable.

Basketball:

  • AA Boys – lost by 13 vs Stonepark in a well-played game.  No practice today.
  • AA Girls – lost by only 6 points at SIS.  They are closing the gap and will be a force to be reckoned with!  Practice today 3-4:30
  • A Boys & Girls faced 2 very tough teams in Montague last eve, and had to settle for a loss.
  • For those basketball players who have not yet paid their $50 athletic fee, please pay your coach.

Wrestling:

  • Practices next week – Mon, Wed & Thurs 3-4:30

Gymnastics:

  • Practice Tuesday 3-4:30
