A first round of public meetings for our family of schools was held earlier in October to present data to the public.
A second set of public meetings will give the public an opportunity to provide input on options for change. This will take place at Colonel Gray High School, Thursday, November 3 at 7:00 p.m.
How to Participate
The format of the meeting will be:
- 7:00 – 9:00 pm – Individuals or groups may make presentations up to 10 minutes in length. (Birchwood has requested a slot to make a short presentation and will also provide a written submission at this time.)
- 9:00 – 10:00 pm – During the third hour, the moderator will invite people in attendance who wish to comment on the ideas presented to come forward to the microphone and provide feedback.
Throughout the consultation process, submissions can also be made online or in writing. See online link below:
Public Input on Schools Review
A third set of meetings will be held once the recommendations are developed, in accordance with the School Change Policy which requires 60 days of public input on the recommendations.
Stay tuned for the next Parent Council Meeting date, which will follow this second public meeting on Nov. 3rd.
