The Writing Club Project

The Writing Club project is one-to-one writing instruction provided by UPEI Bachelor of Education students. Your child will be paired up with a UPEI student and receive individual instruction. Ms. Frances Ann Squire, Birchwood teacher and cooperative teacher with UPEI, is coordinating this project for our students at Birchwood. The UPEI students are taking a course in teaching writing with Dr. Sean Wiebe, an associate professor at UPEI.

The Writing Club will be held on Tuesday and Thursday after school, from September 15 to October 15, from 3:00 – 4:00 pm in the Birchwood Library.

Parents are responsible for arranging transportation for their child who will need to be picked up at the front door of the school at promptly 4:00pm.  All participating students are required to be in the library at 3:00pm.
