  • Huge congratulations to Charlotte MacNutt-Lawson and Brenna Pollard, in grade 8, who won first prize in the PEI Science Fair for their project, The Psychological Perspective of Social Media. They will now represent PEI at the National Science Fair which will be held the week of May 17. Thank you to all students who took the time to complete their survey used during their research. Math Gauss

  • Any grade 7 or 8 student who may be interested in competing in the Math Gauss Competition please meet in Mr. Brioux’s room today at lunch.

Sports:

  • Badminton
    • Good luck to all singles players!
    • Doubles results:
    • Bantam boys – Henry and Alex C went undefeated in the round robin but were eliminated in the cross over.  Evan and Keaton finished 4th.  Good luck in singles today
    • Bantam girls – Lilly and Alex N finished 4th.  Hailey and Lauren finished 2-3
    • Intermediate boys – Kambi and Jacob Enman finished with a record of 3-2.  Dillon and Jacob D finished 4th.
    • Intermediate girls – Kimmy and Akari lost their first game and came back to win the tournament!  Good luck at provincials.  Marley and Harlow finished with a record of 3-3.

  • A special thank you to Ms. Redmond, Mrs. Forbes, Mrs. MacDonald, Mrs. Munn and Ms. Emma MacDonald for all their great work with our Birchwood students providing support and building relationships. Also, a huge thank you for helping deliver meals to our students everyday from our lunch and breakfast programs. Your work at Birchwood is greatly appreciated! Birchwood Cobras Community Clean Up

Students, Parents & Guardians,

Birchwood School is pleased to announce that our students and staff will be participating in a Cobra Community Clean Up, as a tribute to Josh Underhay, a former Birchwood teacher. Mr Underhay was an avid environmentalist and was passionate about taking care of the earth. The event will occur on Monday April the 19th at 1:30 pm. Students and staff, in their respective cohorts, will be cleaning a number of community green spaces in the immediate area.
