Parents are asked to register their children for Kindergarten prior to or during the week of November 18-22, 2019

Children must be 5 years old by December 31, 2020 in order to be eligible for Kindergarten. Parents are asked to register their child at his/her local elementary school during school hours. A registration form will be completed at the time of registration.

Parents are reminded to bring two pieces of information which verify proof of child’s age and verification of home address. (Birth certificate OR PEI Health card & a bill such as a current utility bill which show address). Welcome to Kindergarten for incoming students and their parents will be held in the spring of 2020.

Bricks 4 Kidz is pleased to announce they will be offering after-school classes at West Royalty this Fall. Classes follow the Bricks 4 Kidz® motto:We Learn, We Build, We Play with… LEGO® Bricks.

When: Tuesdays Nov 12 to Dec 17

Time: 2:35-3:35pm

Who: Students in Kindergarten to Grade 6; Maximum of 20 students and a minimum of 10 students required to run the class

Cost: $80/student (tax included) for the six week session

Theme: Ticket to Ride motorized amusement park rides

We will also be looking for a parent volunteer to assist with the classes. In exchange, the parent volunteer will have the registration fee waived for their child. Parent volunteers must have a completed criminal background check and be permitted to work in the schools.

We have a busy couple of days ahead.

1) Our Indigo Shop Night for our school is happening on Thursday, October 24 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. We are hoping lots of parents can get out to Indigo to do some shopping that night, as 20% of your purchase will be donated back to the school. In addition we are looking for some parent volunteers to help out between 6:00-8:00 p.m. If you can do a 30-45 minute shift, please e-mail Karma at shaitanee@hotmail.com; Cathy Hendricken Cameron at cchendricken@edu.pe.ca; or Marilyn MacLean at mamaclean@edu.pe.ca.

2) Our Halloween Dance is coming up on Friday, October 25 from 6:00-7:30. Tickets are not available at the door, so please make sure you purchase your $2 per person ticket prior to the end of the school day on Friday. Reminder that students need to be accompanied by an adult. In addition, we are still looking for donations of chips/juice. If you can contribute, please drop off to the school by the end of the day Thursday.

Be sure to attend West Royalty’s “Halloween Dance Party” in the school gym from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Dress up in a costume and come enjoy an evening of dancing fun with your children.

Students must be accompanied by an adult. Admission is $2.00 per person.Tickets must be pre-purchased and will NOT be available at the door.

Looking for donations of Chips and Juice Boxes. If you are able to donate, please drop off at school office before October 23rd
