February 14th (Friday)–DAY 1

The staff would like to thank everyone for all the treats, well wishes, gifts and delicious potluck lunch which was the highlight of the week!
Thank you to the many, many volunteers who substituted duty for our teachers; prepared, served and cleaned up after the lunch Thursday; and delivered treats throughout the week. Words cannot adequately express our heartfelt thanks—we certainly felt supported and appreciated!
Empty dishes, etc. may be picked up in the Main Lobby.
No after school Honour Choir practice today (Friday).
Tuesdays (2:30-3:30 p.m.)–Grade 5 (ending March 3rd)
Thursdays (2:30-3:30 p.m.–Grade 6 (ending March 6th)
Please Note: Please include an extra snack when packing lunch!

You must have snow pants to slide on the hill.
Leadership students: Permission forms are due if you are planning to attending the leadership conference.
If child’s(ren’s) lunch or snack requires a spoon and/or fork, please remember to include these items in their lunch container. In an effort to be more environmentally friendly, we will not be providing plastic.

-Mrs. Merie Surkan, PEI Waste Watch will be here over the next couple of mornings presenting to our homeroom classes.
A number of Grade 6 students who have returned signed Permission Forms are remaining after school this week to participate in the GameForce program. Pick Up Time: 4:45 p.m.

Family Violence Prevention Week–February 9th-15th:
Peace, love, kindness, healthy relationships and positive communication skills, healthy compromise are some of the tools we need to have peaceful, caring supportive, happy families.
Our classes will be attending a Character Education assembly this morning. Grades 5 & 6-9:30 a.m.; Grades 3 & 4-10:30 a.m.
There will be a meeting at Lunch recess in the Library for our leadership students regarding the upcoming Book Fair.
