Stratford Elementary School is proud to present Beauty and the Beast Jr., with shows April 11 & 12, on stage at the Florence Simmonds Performance Hall. To raise money for costumes, props, and sets for our cast of 100 students, we are holding a Royal Tea Party! This event will take place in the school’s Gymnasium on Saturday, March 3rd from 2-4 p.m. Tickets are $5; ages 2 and under free. Tickets are available in the school office or by mailing

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM REMINDER:
In order to remain for an after school program, students must have pick up transportation arranged prior to arrival at school.
NOTES FOR GRADE 6 STUDENTS:
-Late French Immersion Parent Information Meeting will be held TONIGHT for parents of Grade 6 students who plan to enroll their children in Grade 7 Late French Immersion in September, 2018 as listed below:

-Applications for Late French Immersion will be received during the week of March 5th-9th (application forms went home with students).
IMPORTANT NOTES:
-Please check for school delays/closures daily. The weather/roads may look fine from inside your home; however, conditions may not be suitable for school buses.
-We encourage students to pack an extra pair of socks, pants, etc., in their kit bags due to the sloppy/wet weather conditions.
BOOK FAIR:
The Book Fair will be open to parents/guardians Tuesday, February 27th (2:30-5 p.m.); Wednesday, February 28th (2:30-5 p.m.); Thursday, March 1st (2:30-8 p.m.); and Friday, March 2nd (9 a.m.-noon). Also, each class will have an appointed time during the school day to visit the Book Fair on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday (Feb.27th-March 1st). All proceeds in support of new material for our school Library.
LOOKING AHEAD:
-Due to the upcoming Parent-Teacher Interviews, there will be “no classes” on Friday, March 2nd.
-Tuesday, March 6th is designated as a Professional Learning Day for staff. As a result, there will be no classes on Tuesday, March 6th.
– Learning Reports go home with students today. Please sign the envelope and return to your child’s homeroom teacher as soon as possible. This envelope will be reused again in June!
-The Mid-Term Break (No Classes) is March 26th-29th and Tuesday, April 3rd; Good Friday, March 30th (No Classes); Easter Monday, April 2nd (No Classes). Students return to class on Wednesday, April 4th.
WELCOME:
We welcome Nathan MacQuillan & Carter Sigsworth, former students, to our school today. They will be presenting to some of our Grade 6 English classes regarding the Late French Immersion program.
PINK SHIRT DAY:
Students and staff are invited to wear “pink” tomorrow in support of anti-bullying. Members of the local R.C.M.P. detachment will be presenting some interesting information to students as well.
