September 29th (Friday)–DAY 5

PHYSICAL EDUCATION:
First Recess–Cross Country practice for all runners.
(Permission forms due as soon as possible as the meet is Wednesday, October 4th at Eliot River Elementary, Cornwall.)
PANCAKE BREAKFAST–This Saturday!:
Once again the Stratford & Area Lions Club is hosting a pancake breakfast in aid of our Breakfast Program. This event will take place at the Stratford Town Hall on Saturday, September 30th from 7:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Cost: $5/child; $8/adult/$20/family of 4. Tickets available in the office.
Order forms went home with students.
EXTRA CLOTHING:
We are asking parents/guardians to place a pair of spare socks, top and pants in backpacks. These items come in handy during times of unsettled weather!
EXTRA CURRICULAR:
Good luck to 5B (Mrs. Cameron MacIsaac) and 5C (Mrs. Hughes) as they are off to Orwell Corner for the day.
WELCOME:
-We welcome Mary Katherine Knockwood to our school today. She will be presenting her aboriginal experience with classes today.
LOOKING AHEAD:
-Monday is “Walk To School” day.
-Next week is designated as “Verbal Abuse Prevention Week.”
-Friday, October 6th (next week!) there will be no classes for students. This day is designated as School Goals Day.
Monday, October 9th is Thanksgiving (no classes); therefore, students return to class on Tuesday, October 10th (Day 4).
ORANGE SHIRT DAY:
The school is a sea of orange today in honor of residential school survivors.
