With April being Earth Month, the Green Team will be taking part in a few initiatives. The first one is the “Recycle My Cell” initiative – so teachers and students who have cellphones that are no longer of any use (even those with smashed screens), bring them in and place them in the box in the lobby. The phones will be sent away to be dismantled and all parts will be recycled. The second initiative is “The Plastic Bag Grab”. We have done this for the past few years which means a few thousand plastic bags have been removed from the landfills, and potentially the oceans. So bring in your plastic bags and the class rep on the Green Team will take care of them for you and make sure they get counted and recycled properly. Stay tuned for other “Green” things to do this month.
