Girls AA Soccer:
The team won their second game in the regular season yesterday, against rivals Birchwood. Maddie Cormier was strong in the net to secure a 1-0 shutout, with the lone goal scored by Sophie Gallant within the first two minutes of play. The girls dominated much of the play, with our defensive line of Addison Schneider, Sonia Perry, Ashlyn Shaw, Lilly Mallett and Leah McEntee creating a solid wall to keep the fast Birchwood strikers at bay. We will celebrate today with a practice on the front field from 3:30-4:30. Great job, girls!

Boys AA Soccer:
The AA boys soccer team scored another victory yesterday winning 2-0 over East Wiltshire.  Playing against a strong wind in the first half, the Tigers carried the play but saw the half end 0-0.  In the second half, the Tigers again carried the play and were rewarded with a penalty kick which was cooly slotted home by Nathan Wheeler to take the lead 1-0.  The second goal came shortly after on a spectacular free kick from Jon Fradsham to Chase Bell who headed home his 4th goal of the season.  Rookies Will Dunn, Nathan Muttart and J’Kobe Smith were key players in the win.  Next game is Thursday at home vs Queen Charlotte.
