Monday – Day 4

Cafeteria:
Homemade Lasagna with Caesar Salad and breadstick

Band:
The Grade 7 Band will rehearse today at 12:40-1:20. Please arrive at 12:35 to get set up and warmed up.

Fitness Club:
The Grade 9s this morning. There will be no fitness club again until Friday, which will be Grade 7s.

Drama club:
Drama auditions will be held after school Thursday from 3-4:30.

Needlecraft Club:
Needlecraft Club is on today at 12:20 in Room 116.  Bring your lunch and come & sew!!

Private Property:
Students when you go out at lunch time – please be careful and do not go on people’s property.  Remember, you are representing Stonepark Inter – and that means stay off personal property.

Boys A Basketball:
The Stonepark Tigers Boys A Basketball Team hosted the Morell Marlins on Thursday evening. The Marlins came out strong in the opening quarter and took the lead 15-7. Our Tigers were able to match their opponent in the 2nd quarter but still trailed 29-20 at half time. Morell came out strong in the 3rd quarter by outscoring our Tigers 10-4 and to increase their lead to 39-24 and Morell kept up the pace in the final frame to win the game with a score of 51-38. Scorers for Stonepark were: Nathanael Rodgerson (16 points), Kayden Kelly with a new season high (12 points), Preston Stewart (5 points), Quinn Velasco (3 points) and Brady French with his first basket of the season (2 points). Tajay Wheatley was our defensive player of the game.
Congratulations to grade 9 students Kallen Power  and Menna McCabe who were recently named as the Basketball PEI Bantam Players of the year.
Well done Kallen and Menna and congrats from your coaches and teammates here at Stonepark.  Go Tigers!!

Girls “A” Basketball:
Girls A basketball compteted hard but were outscored on Thursday against Morell. In the scond quarter, th e girls played strong defense and gave up a season low of 8 points in that quarter.  Our make-up game tonight has been postponed. Practice today is from 4:30 – 6:00. Please see one of the coaches during morning recess to get an update on practices and games this week.  Our offensive  player of the game was Dannicha Clark.

DPA:     Will be inside today – and the gr. 7’s will go to the gym for their DPA.
