Stonepark Youth Group:
Unity Potluck, by the Stonepark Youth group, Tuesday Nov 5th from 3 – 4:30 in Multipurpose room. Come play games, eat food and make friends.
All are welcomed.

Chess Club:
Are you a chess player? Or do you want to learn to play? The school chess club will start up on Wednesday, November 12 – Day 2 in Mr. McMillan’s classroom in House 7 downstairs. The club will always be on Day 2 at lunchtime so bring your lunch. All grade levels and skill levels welcome.

Code Club:
The Code Club will meet today at 12:30 in Mrs. Reynard’s room.  Meetings will always take place every Day 3 at lunch.

Band:
Grade 7 Band rehearsal today at 12:40

Girls Group:
The girls group with Catherine & Lyndsay will meet today  during 2nd. period in the Multi Purpose Room

Cheese Orders:
Reminder to grade 9 students that sold cheese, to have your form and money to Mrs. Arsenault today!

Library News:
Put November 12th on your calendar for our Indigo Fundraiser!  Help us stock our library shelves with the books you love to read!  We have a new, student-led club starting up; the Presentation Club, which will be for people that struggle doing presentations.  Look for their table on Wednesdays in the library.

Leadership Social:
Leadership students interested in helping out with our first student social of the year are asked to meet in Ms. Gillis’ Room – Grade 7  (bottom floor), Tuesday – Nov. 5th @ 12:40  – Day 4.

Fall Sports:
Congratulations to all of our fall sports teams on their seasons. We claimed one gold, one silver and two bronze medal finishes. Student athletes are asked to please pay any outstanding fees and return school uniform to Mrs. Steele asap.
A huge thank you to all of our coaches for the time and effort you have put in with our athletes!

Basketball Tryouts:
Will begin today.  The girls will tryout from 3:00-4:30 and the boys from 5:00-6:30.   A and AA coaches will be present for the practices so all those interested in either team must attend.

Stonepark Volleyball Girls:
Would volleyball girls –  please meet at Ms. Hamilton’s classroom at lunch today.

Girls AA Soccer;
“The Girls AA Soccer team lost a tough game against Summerside on Saturday, but took home the silver medal. The girls played an amazing season, after winning some crucial games and finishing very strong. All girls showed passion, dedication, teamwork and improvement throughout the past two months, and your coaches could not be more proud. You have all definitely earned, and proudly displayed, your tiger stripes this year! We would like to say a special thank you to our grade nine players Kennedy Casford, Zoe Hughes, Keira Wilson and Bailey Burke. Your leadership this year has been incredible and has set a great example for your teammates, who will lead next year. Thank you for a great season girls!”

Boys AA Soccer:
The AA boys soccer team are Provincial Champions after beating Hernewood 4-0 on Saturday.
The game was tied until Izi Hatungimana made a great run in the 18th minute and crossed to Ben Hashimoto for the first goal.  From there the Tigers found their confidence and took control.  A second goal by Ben Hashimoto led Stonepark into half-time up 2-0. Kallen Power sealed the win early in the 2nd half with a wonderful individual effort when he intercepted a Hernewood goal kick and went in alone to make the score 3-0.  Srrong defence held Hernewood off of the score sheet and Ben Hashimoto completed his hat-trick with seconds left and the game ended 4-0.  Grade 9s playing their final soccer game as a Tiger were:  Ben Hashimoto, Kallen Power, Izi Hatungimana, Jonathan Gaddess, Keegan MacDonald, Parker Aitkens, Nate MacIntyre.
