Friday – Day 1

The cafeteria is now finished for this school year and will start in September. The cafeteria room is still open if you care to eat your lunch in that area.

Brass players in grade 7 & 8 who do not have band today are asked to see Mrs. Peters following announcements!!

A reminder that all books are due back to the library, this includes any resources teachers may have borrowed.

Just a reminder – there are yearbooks for sale in the office at a cost of $35.00 each, don’t miss out on buying yours today.

Teen Zone:
Youth ages 12-18 years old are invited to hang out at the Teen Zone in the Murphy’s building (3rd Floor) at 200 Richmond Street. This is a safe, supervised place to hang out with friends, play pool, video games, go on outings and even learn some life skills. Hours are Monday & Tuesday 12 to 6pm and Wednesday to Friday 12-8pm. Young Citizens Through Canada History Contest:
Support for Jayden Paul’s Heritage Fair video: Jayden Paul, 7I, is a participant in the Young Citizens Through Canada’s History Contest. Please take a moment and vote for her Video on St. Mary’s First Nation online at:
Voting opens June 11th and will run for one month until July 12th, 2019. With our support, she could win a trip to Ottawa, to attend Canada’s History Forum. Voting is allowed once per day.

Video Games:
Do you have a passion for video games? Now is your chance to create your very own. In the Game Force: Designer’s Bootcamp summer camps, participants will learn the basics of video game development including programming, audio, animations, level design, etc. At the end of the camp, each student will receive a USB drive containing a freeware version of the software used during the camp as well as other resources that will enable them to continue working on their video games long after the summer camp has ended.

There are still a number of girls softball jerseys and boys and girls flag football jerseys to be turned into Mrs. Steele ASAP. If you have a jersey at school please take it to Mrs. Steele right away.
