Recognize our Branch-based Staff in May

The dedication of our Branch-based staff keeps our organization running smoothly for students and staff and significantly contributes to the overall success of the PSB.  We appreciate the exceptional work of our Branch-based employees in the areas of Student Services, Human Resources, Property Management, Transportation, Technology and Data Services, Health and Safety, Policy and Planning, and Financial Services. We want to acknowledge their incredible efforts and say thank you!

The ‘Inspire’ award is one way the Public Schools Branch is using to recognize members of our educational community for the inspirational things they do to help us all experience success and make our schools and offices great places to work and learn.

Each month we are encouraging the nomination of a specific group in our Public Schools Branch family. During the month of May, we will highlight the work of our incredible Branch-based staff. To nominate someone, simply take a minute or two to complete the on-line nomination form.  The criterion for nomination is simple – they just need to have inspired others.  Nominees will receive a small PSB recognition package and a note of thanks for contributing to the PSB community.

Over 450 ‘Inspire’ Awards have been delivered so far!  Thank you for taking time this month to nominate deserving candidates and for showing our Branch-based staff how much they are appreciated.

Recognize our Administrative Assistants in April

We appreciate our Administrative Assistants. Success at our schools is possible, in part, because of the dedication of our school administrative assistant who keep everything running smoothly and somehow know the answers to everyone’s questions. We appreciate them for sending forms, fixing files, completing tasks with time to spare, placing orders for supplies, typing e-mails and reports, taking calls, applying band aides, handling crises of all kinds and sorts, and for being a good friend to students, parents and staff each and every day. It is amazing how they do all this and remain so organized in the process! We want to acknowledge their incredible efforts and say thank you.

Nominating an administrative assistant for an ‘Inspire’ award in April is an excellent way to recognize them. Each month we are encouraging the nomination of a specific group in our Public Schools Branch family. This month we will highlight the work of our administrative assistants. Show your appreciation by nominating an administrative assistant this month.

Administrative assistants are the voice and face of their school, and often are the first and last member of the branch staff to see students and parents each day. For many, the efforts and kindness of our administrative assistants make the school experience more enjoyable and pleasant. Their positive approach and their attention to detail at our schools makes a real difference.

The ‘Inspire’ award is one way the Public Schools Branch is using to recognize members of our educational community for the inspirational things they do to help us all experience success and make our schools great places to work and learn. Anyone can nominate an employee, student, volunteer, parent or community member; and the criterion for nomination is simple – they just need to have inspired others. To nominate someone, simply take a minute or two to complete the on-line nomination form. Nominees will receive a small PSB recognition package and a note of thanks for contributing to the PSB community. Over 400 ‘Inspire’ Awards have been delivered so far! Thank you for doing your part to nominate deserving candidates.
