As of 1:20 p.m. Spring Park students were being safely transported home from the school’s evacuation site. Many students had been picked up by parents. The PSB wishes to thank parents for their assistance in this process. We also thank our staff, police, and Public Works staff who responded immediately and appropriately to ensure everyone’s safety.
The Police conducted an internal and external sweep and nothing concerning was found. Staff will be returning to the building to debrief and prepare for when students return tomorrow. Additional counselling support is being made available for any students or staff who may require it.
Following a telephone threat, Spring Park Elementary School has been evacuated. All students and staff are safe.
Police are onsite and assessing the threat.
The decision has been made to send students home for the remainder of the day. All students will follow their early closure procedures.
