Kindergarten Registration 2022-2023

Will your child turn 5 years old by December 31, 2022? Register them for Kindergarten today!

How it works

  1. Parents/guardians can register their child at their local elementary school during school hours.
  2. Bring a piece of Government-issued ID verifying proof of your child’s age, such as a birth certificate, PEI health card or passport.
  3. Bring a document to verify your home address, such as a current utility bill.
  4. Complete a registration form.

English as an Additional Language/French as an Additional Language

Children who speak a language in the home other than English or French, or who were born outside Canada, are eligible for EAL/FAL programs and services. Contact 902-620-3738 for more information.

Welcome to Kindergarten Sessions

Welcome to Kindergarten sessions for incoming students and their parents will be held in schools in the spring of 2022. Register now so you and your child can visit the school, meet the principal and teachers, and learn more about the Kindergarten program.

  • Amherst Cove and Somerset: Contact Parkside Elementary. Student transportation to and from school is the responsibility of the parent.

Montague Family

Morell Family

  • Morell Consolidated and Mount Stewart may register at Westwood Primary, Sherwood Elementary, Glen Stewart Primary, Spring Park Elementary, West Kent Elementary or Montague Consolidated. A parent can register their student in Early French Immersion at a school of their choice, subject to PSB approval. Student transportation to and from school is the responsibility of the parent.

Souris Family

  • Souris Regional may register at Westwood Primary, Sherwood Elementary, Glen Stewart Primary, Spring Park Elementary, West Kent Elementary, or Montague Consolidated.
