Dear parents and guardians,
I hope everyone is enjoying the great weather; the time is certainly flying by at this point. The past few weeks have been very busy in the education world with many stakeholders making decisions with student and staff well-being as the primary focus. There is no doubt that the return to school is a positive step for our students. I do realize that it comes with some feelings of worry and angst; however, the health and safety of staff and students is critical for our collective success.
Each school is working within the approved guidelines to formulate a plan that works for your child’s school. Plans will be shared and viewable on the government’s Welcome Back to School Website (https://www.princeedwardisland.ca/en/topic/back-school) in the next few days. Co-operation and patience will be required as we approach the new school year with many new procedures in place. More specific details will be shared by individual schools as we draw closer to September 8th. I thank you for your cooperation and wish you all a safe and fun-filled remainder of summer.
