Summer Adventures 2015 will help to create the foundation in which the participants will have an opportunity to learn leadership skills, increase self-esteem and make healthy choices based on their own needs. The J. Reuben O’Hanley R.O.P.E.S. Course will provide youth with an opportunity to problem-solve, and take risks in a fun and stimulating atmosphere. They will be introduced to the proper use of climbing equipment, including helmets, harnesses, etc. by qualified instructors. During this time youth will be invited to experience the low and high challenge course which consists of a series of cables, beams, and ropes.

Our day camp program is unique to PEI and provides your child with 1 level of swimming lessons and depending on the age they can participate in either: Outdoor Adventure Club (OAC) – Healthy lifestyle & Nature appreciation or Small Water Craft program – Rowing & Canoeing.

Canoe Cove camp is a peaceful, fun camp with many activities for children to participate in such as swimming, canoeing, outdoor jumping pillow, outdoor sports, campfires and lots more! Located on a beautiful beach front in Canoe Cove, the camp is a great learning environment away from the many distractions of life. Holland College Canes Camps
The Holland Hurricanes will be holding Canes Camp for the full 9 weeks of summer holidays. Canes Camps is a day camp for children in grades K-6 that runs from 7:30 am-5:00pm. Each week of camp will have a different theme and those themes and dates are listed below. The camp will be based at the Centre for Community Engagement although we will be using different facilities on the campus based on our weekly themes as well as trips off campus throughout the summer.
Holland College Canes Camps – continued
We will be offering a variety of different payment options to accommodate everyone’s summer plans.
Full 9 weeks- $995 ($110 a week, $22 a day), 8 weeks- $925, 7 weeks- $865
After seven weeks we will offer camp on a weekly or daily basis subject to availability.
1 week – $140, 1 day- $30 *We will be asking for a 15% deposit to be paid by May 31st in order to secure your child’s spot. Families who have their child registered for the full summer (7-9 weeks) will have the option to pay on a weekly basis.

Every wonder what the students at Holland College get up to all day? Throughout this week we will learn about a variety of programs offered by the college through hands on activities led by our college instructors. We will also hit the road to explore different careers in our community.
Week 3 (July 13-17) Canes Style Pan Am Games
The Pan Am games are being hosted in Toronto this summer. This week we will explore the different competitions in the games and follow Canada’s success while competing in our own wild and wacky games!
Week 4 (July 20-24) World Travelers
Pack your bags and grab your passports. We’re off on a new adventure learning about different cultures and countries through games, music, foods and crafts.

Week 5 (July 27-31) Build, Make and Create
Spend the week learning, building and playing. Throughout the week we will create masterpieces using a variety of tools and supplies including Lego and robotics. There is no limit to what you might create this week.
Week 6 (August 3-7) Super Hero
This week campers will make their way through scavenger hunts, obstacle courses, and use their super powers to escape the villains.
Week 7 (August 10-14) All Ball
Volleyballs, basketballs, soccer balls, golf balls, beach balls and much, much more. This week we will play classic ball games but also mix it up by putting our own spin on the classics.
Week 8 (August 17-21) Wild Water Week
Jump, belly flop or dive into camp this week for waves of fun! There’s no better way to cool down over the summer than fun with water! Throughout this week we will, go swimming, and cool down from days of fun with water balloon tosses, water toys and a trip to shining waters!

20. The Art Camp” Summer 2015
Summer 2015 will be the first year for “The Art Camp”. It is owned and operated by Olivia Reddin, a high school student from Charlottetown who has years of experience caring for children. She has been artistic from an early age and is very excited to be sharing her love of art with enthusiastic children. The camp is located at Murphy’s Community Centre on 200 Richmond St, Charlottetown, PE. It is open to children ages 6-10 and no artistic ability is required. Each camp is $150 per child and children will be required to bring their own lunch. If your child has any allergies, please let us know in advance. “The Art Camp” will focus on learning basic artistic skills such as color theory, 3-D art, art history, and much more.
