Happy New Year! We are returning this year Please find below a quick break-down of the week ahead. A more detailed email was sent out Monday afternoon.
Jan 4th – Teachers will be contacting families and checking on chromebook needs and how we can support families. Please organize digital and learning supplies at home to prepare.
In September, guardians were asked if they needed a chromebook for remote learning. We have a list of those students. However we recognize that there may be multiple students needing a device at he same time. In addition to these students on our list, if your child requires a chrome book for remote learning, please call the office on Tuesday at 902-368 6945 or email Jackie at email@example.com. Chromebooks can be picked up on Wednesday from 9:00-3:00 at the school.
Jan 5th – Chrome Book pick up from (9:00-3:00) and first day of remote learning for students (Department of Education Leadership and Learning will provide learning materials for students to use during the first day of remote learning). Teachers will publish the relevant link for remote learning through their Google classroom, their google site and/or email.
Jan 6th & 7th – Teachers will implement remote learning (synchronous and asynchronous) through Google sites, classrooms and email.
Hi Parents and Guardians,
Please check your emails for the link for our virtual holiday concert. Originally we had hoped to share it through Google Meet but due to technical difficulties, we had to shift gears. Although it is not the same as attending a live concert, we hope that you will enjoy watching the performances.
We ask that you do not share this link on social media to honour wishes of parents/guardians to keep the link within the Parkdale Elementary families.
Thanks for your cooperation in this manner.
Wishing you all happy holidays
The Parkdale Team
Parkdale Elementary School Clothing Orders have open just in time for the holiday season! We are excited to have launched some new designs this year. Samples and sizes will be available for viewing during parent teacher interviews. The online store will be open until December 3rd in order to have shipments delivered for Christmas. We will reopen again early Spring. Don’t miss your chance to get your Eagles Gear!
Thank you for signing up for parent teacher interviews. If you are coming in person to the school for your interview here are a few reminders.
- All guests must be fully vaccinated to enter the school
- Please arrive a few minutes early in order to check in
- Please have your photo ID and proof of vaccination out and ready when you come to the front door
- Wear a mask and sanitize your hands when you come in
- If your interview is Monday -Wednesday, go directly to your child’s classroom and show your ID and proof of vaccination.
- If your interview is Thursday or Friday, please go to the lobby to show your ID and proof of vaccination before going to your child’s classroom.
Thank you for all of your patience as we work through all the protocols to keep our children safe. Just a reminder, as it was last year, if a child is exhibiting any symptoms, you should not send them to school. Please see attached Student Screening Questionnaire which was sent home on the first few days of school. If your child is exhibiting any of the symptoms on the list, while at school, we will make a call to have someone pick up the child.
Also, each morning please make sure to check that your child has a mask and their water bottle for the day.
