It truly has been an exceptional school year! None of us could have imagined the challenge a virus would present, but there you go – life is full of surprises! We rose to the occasion as as a community and did our best in a very unpredictable situation.
This is our last week of Home Learning. We want to thank all our families for taking on the challenge with the support of our teachers. We feel we had great participation.
As you prepare to wind down and enjoy summer, we hope reading will find its place in your home. The PEI Public Library offers wonderful summer reading programs. Here is the information:
PEI Public Library Service is preparing to launch online versions of its free annual summer reading programs for children and teens. Please share the attached information about the following PLS’ online summer programs with your students and their families.
TD Summer Reading Club (Ages 0-12)
Children and their families are invited to join PEI public libraries online to participate in the TD Summer Reading Club! This annual national program gets kids excited about reading and helps prevent the summer slide. This year’s edition will emphasize hands-on creativity and the joy of reading, while encouraging kids to move, play and explore. Please encourage your students and their families to participate and share these attachments:

Teens and adults are invited to participate in Book-opoly, the PLS’ summer reading program for ages 13 and up. Participants read their way around a game board to enter weekly prize draws. Please share the attached poster with teens and their families.
