A service dog named Zito will begin at Greenfield School on Wednesday, November 14th. He will be here to support one of our students with special needs. Zito is an Autism Assistance Dog.
On Wednesday, November 17th, there will be an assembly for all students and staff to give information on service dogs. A trainer from Lions Foundation of Canada will be here to instruct students on how they should conduct themselves when a service dog is present. There will be signs posted on our doors to let everyone know that there is a service dog in our building.
We are anticipating that the service dog will quickly blend into our school community. We are looking forward to learning from this experience and to seeing the benefits he may bring to our student.
A letter was send home with our students today.
