Thursday, February 15th is Flag Day, a day Canadians remember the history and importance of our flag. Our flag is the symbol that lets others know we are Canadians and that we are proud to be part of a great country.
At Greenfield, we will be hosting a Flag Day Celebration with Marlene Campbell of Culture Summerside. We will have some very special guests attending this celebration. The Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island, Antoinette Perry, will be with us, as well as the Honorable Paula Biggar, Minister of Transportation, Infrastructure, and Energy and Responsible for the Status of Women, and the Mayor of Summerside, Bill Martin.
We are hoping that our students will help make this celebration on Thursday a special one by wearing a white or red top with dark bottoms.
