Greenfield Elementary School will be celebrating Inside Out Day on Wednesday, April 5th.
Inside Out for Autism was conceptualized by a mom of an autistic child from Sherwood, Prince Edward Island, Jacalyn MacAulay, who thought it would be wonderful to have a day when students and staff could focus on raising awareness and acceptance of autism.
On Inside Out Day at Greenfield, students and staff can wear their shirt, top or sweater inside out for the day to show their support for our students who have autism. All who participate will receive a sticker. We do hope to raise funds on this day so it would be great if students and staff could contribute a toonie or a loonie to support programs for individuals with autism. Our goal is to recognize that we are all different, but not less, and all children have a place in our schools and communities.
