Its getting close to that time of year again…report cards. This year the Parent Teacher Interviews will be held the evening of November 16th and the morning of November 17th. Report cards will be available to pick up prior to meeting with teachers on conference day or evening.
Please forward an e-mail address to Lisa firstname.lastname@example.org in the office if you wish to be able to track student attendance in the Student Achieve Program. It will also allow parents to view Grade 7/8 academic reports.
Please remember to sign your child IN or OUT if you are dropping them off late or picking them up early. A note is another option in place of signing in or out or speaking directly to someone at the school by phone or in person.
Thanks for your cooperation!
Georgetown School is pleased to be starting up a revised reward program to choose the Hornet Pick of the Week. It will be to give recognition to all the positive acts that the children have “been caught” doing….this will be done by offering some exciting prizes and having the students recognized for these positive behaviours.
There will be a short assembly Tuesday October 17th in the gym to introduce this exciting program to the staff and students.
The school practiced a lock-down procedure today to have everyone prepared in case of an emergency situation. Everyone did great today with the procedure and with all previous fire drills held over the past two months.
Great Job Everyone-
A Food Safety course is being offered free of charge on Tuesday October 17th. Contact Georgetown School for location and further details.
Due to shortage of apples, we regret to inform parents that the field trip planned for apple picking will be cancelled 🙁
Meet Constable McDougall, he will be the RCMP liaison working closely with Georgetown School this year. Const. McDougall has stopped by several times this school year already and has even helped serve children at our Breakfast Program.
Welcome to Constable McDougall!
