  • On our final day of Winter Spirit celebrations we had a delicious all you can eat pancake breakfast, came to school dressed in pajamas and will be watching movies in the afternoon after a classroom cleanup. 
  • We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a relaxing break away from school routines

  • Today is day 5
  • Welcome to staff guest Jody Jenkins
  • Today is Turkey Dinner Day- all the traditional fixings: gravy, dressing/ stuffing, carrots, corn, cranberry, pickles and special desert of vanilla or chocolate cupcakes from Maroon Pig….yumm
  • Tomorrow will be Crafternoon in the individual classrooms- birdfeeders, snowflakes, coloring…lots of beautiful crafts will be made.

Winter Spirit Week- UPDATED SCHEDULE

Due to changes that came into effect, we will alter our final week of Winter Spirit Month as we are not permitted to have a school skate on December 17  🙁

Monday – Cookies and Milk or Hot Chocolate

Tuesday – Scavenger Hunt organized by Mr. Maund

Wednesday – Turkey Dinner with all the fixings including cupcakes by Stacy at Maroon Pig and gravy made by Margo at Daryls

Thursday – Crafternoon Party in individual classes

Friday- Pancake breakfast, pajama’s, Winter movie and class clean up

  • It is Hibernation Day today at GES. Come in cozy PJ’s and bring your favourite book

Huge thanks to the Georgetown Elementary Home and School. CHILI LOVE was a huge and delicious success. Thanks to the wonderful chefs who made the chili creations and to Walsh Farms who graciously donated the beef to the  local chefs.

Home and School had an amazing idea and ran a wonderful fundraising project. All the funds came directly back to the school. Special thanks for all your hard work!

  • Today is day 1
  • In celebration of Winter Spirit Month today we are having Winter Accessory Day. We are happy to see  so many dressed in their snazziest hats, scarfs and earmuffs
  • Tomorrow for Winter Spirit Month we are having Hibernation Day- come dressed in pajamas and take your favourite book to ‘share’ with the class.
  • PEI school lunch program is offering Greek Pasta Salad today, and breakfast will be scrambled eggs and English muffins…yumm!
  • The Montague Legion, branch 8, will be delivering the prizes for the Essay and Poster Contest that so many of our talented students took part in. Stay tuned for the awards list!
  • There have multiple additions to the Writing Wall this week. Thanks for sharing your stories Owen T, Connor K and Bryce M. Great work everyone!
  • What a successful Home and School Fundraiser!- CHILI LOVE. Thanks to everyone who stopped by for a delicious bowl of gourmet chili in support of the students.

  • Today is CHILI LOVE. The fundraiser to support Georgetown Elementary School. Drop by the Kings Playhouse  between 3:30 pm- 6:30 pm for a delicious bowl of take out,  homestyle chili with a biscuit or bun. Students are encouraged to wear their favorite chili color RED or GREEN and any or all their chili attire in support of the big day!
  • Tomorrow we will be celebrating Winter Spirit Month with Winter Accessory Day- come to school with hats, scarves, earmuffs, warm socks- all the extra winter accessories that help us stay warm!!!
