Georgetown School Closing at 1:10

Due to the updated weather forecast and the expectation of hazardous travel conditions, particularly in Kings County, all schools in the Montague, Morell, and Souris families of schools will dismiss 2 hours early today.

Students will be returning from the field trip early to be dismissed from school at 1:10.

Bowling at the Alley with glow lights, Pizza lunch, Movie (Arctic Dogs). It is going to be a great day for Georgetown students!!

Day 4- November 27, 2019

  • Ordering for pizza day Thursday still available today
  • Canteen open each day at lunch, organized by the Student Council, menu items include goldfish, yogurt tubes, rice krispie squares, apples and cheese products being added soon! Items are .50- $1.00
  • Welcome to staff guests and visitors to the school including Ms. Tracy Powers,  Ms. Lily Lu and Mr. Carpenter
  • Movie on Friday will be ARCTIC DOGS, a great movie for all ages!

Day 3- November 26, 2019

  • Go Play this evening after school 3:15-4:15 pm for grades 1-4
  • Consents due back for bowling and movies ASAP
  • Welcome to staff guest Mr. Christopher Wu
  • Happy Birthday to our Landon H. in Mrs. MacLeod’s grade 3 class
  • Picture retake orders accepted all week
  • Kindergarten Registration still open, If you have a child who will be 5 years old on December 31, 2020, stop by to fill out a registration form at the office
  • Pizza Day Thursday- pepperoni or cheese made by the Maroon Pig. $2/ slice
  • Field Trip Friday- Please have your children at the school by 9:00 am to be able to catch the bus to Charlottetown

Day 2- Monday November 25, 2019

  • IHT today for grade 7 and 8 at Montague Intermediate
  • Special Olympics is happening today at MIS- we have students participating. Good Luck and Have so much Fun!!!
  • Pay What You Pull cards are being sold for the Christmas Fair. See Mrs. O’Hanley if more cards are needed!
  • Picture Retakes, money and orders, are due this week 🙂
  • Free Milk Day for K-6 students on Thursday December 5th. Chocolate or white!
  • Congrats to our Hornet Picks of the Week on Friday, Jace, Austin and Hudson! great job on starting a sports club for your classmates!

The Home and School Elves are making their lists and checking them twice in preparation for the Christmas Themed BINGO on November 21st from 6-8 pm.  Come on out and see Santa, get your Christmas shopping started (or finished) with some beautifully wrapped gifts as prizes and lots of festive fun for everyone!

  • Christmas Fair preparations are well under way that will be held on December 4.     Students in grades 4-8 are invited to stay for a crafting hour today after school with Core French Teacher, Ms. Hailey Hennessey. 3:15-4:15
