  • Best of luck to Georgetown athletes heading to the Provincial X-country meet in Mill River tomorrow. Go Hornets!!!

  • Grill Cheese Sandwich for Hot Lunch today and milk and chocolate milk available as well

  • Lockdown practice today

  • Movement break this morning at 11:10 am

  • Stay tuned for pictures…Mr. Gallison will be getting his reward Monday for having such amazing student fundraisers working with him raising funds for the Terry Fox Run

  • Caught You Caring Program will be restarting up again on Monday October 21. Students will be recognized for positive behaviors and have their names put into a monthly draw for prizes


Day 1- October 15, 2019

  • Welcome back after a long weekend
  • School visitor today, Carley Quisenberry, a marine biologist, formerly from Georgetown, is here speaking to all classes about her exciting profession and work life
  • Hot lunches this week include Pepperoni or Cheese Pizza($2) on Thursday October 17th and Grill Cheese Sandwich($1) on Friday October 18th. Milk and Chocolate milk also available
  • x-country team continues to practice all this week leading up to Provincial Meet at Mill River
  • Please check for any left over booklets of West Jet tickets that have not been returned to the school. Ballots can still be entered into draw on October 20th 


Any student or parents with outstanding West Jet Tickets that are sold or unsold please return to school ASAP.
The school will be charged for the cost of the full booklet at $70 if tickets are not returned.

Day 5- Wednesday October 9, 2019

  • Pizza orders due today for tomorrow’s hot lunch program Pizza Day Thursday!


  • Art Club at Lunch starting for students in grades 2-6, Sign up sheets posted in classrooms, day of cycle to be announced
  • extra x-country practices happening at lunch recess from now until provincials (October 19) and open to all members of the team
  • Huge thanks to Perry Gotell of Tranquility Cove Adventures for his generous donation to Georgetown School’s Breakfast Club once again

Congratulations to our cross country team!

We are so proud of our cross country team! All students were excellent ambassadors for the school and raced hard. We have 5 students who finished in the top 20 in their categories and will complete at provincials later this month. Congratulations!!


Please return  all  tickets  and  money to school by tomorrow. Sold and Unsold tickets and money will be picked up at 12:00 tomorrow October 4th.

Draw date is October 20th at the PEI Marathon.
