School Supply Fee for the 2019-2020 School Year

In order to help keep our classrooms running smoothly, we are asking parents/guardians to provide $35.00 per student to purchase school supplies for the upcoming school year. Teachers will buy in bulk to take advantage of discounts, and this process should help promote consistency in the classroom while keeping supplies fresh all year.

Teachers will buy the general school supplies, leaving families to be responsible for personal items such as: backpacks, lunchboxes and indoor sneakers.

A notice went home with your child(ren) with the particulars of this request, and we are taking this opportunity to remind you that fees must be paid by Friday, June 14, 2019.

Payments will be accepted at the main office and receipts will be given. We will not be accepting fees in September.

Thank you.

Screen Time and Online Safety Session

On Wednesday May 15th, Belfast Consolidated School is hosting a “Screen Time and Online Safety for Students” evening for parents from 6:30-7:30pm.  The session will be led by Jamie Matheson from the Department of Education. Research shows screen time can have a negative impact on learning, and on the development of social skills, but parents may not know all the facts. Also, we want our children to navigate the web safely. If you are interested in attending, you need to register so we can confirm our numbers to the presenter.  Please call the school at 902-659-7200 or email mjmunro@edu.pe.ca to register.  Free babysitting will be offered by our grade 9 students for the K-6 age group.  We hope to see you on the 15th!
