  • Drama Festival today at Georgetown’s King’s Playhouse starting at 1:00p.m. – Georgetown Elementary School’s 4/5/6 class will be putting on production “Bubba Begonia, You’ll be Sorry” starting at 1:30p.m.
  • Schedule change at Georgetown Elementary School to accommodate the Drama Festival- Lunch Recess starting at 11:45, Lunch at 12:10, Students leave for Playhouse at 12:40


Prize Bingo is happening tomorrow, April 11 in the school gym. The action starts at 6:00 pm and will run till 8:00 pm. There are so many great prize baskets created, this is one BINGO you will not want to miss! We will see you there for some fun  and you will help out by supporting our little school.

Cards are going at $5 for 3 cards/ $10 for 6 cards/ $20 for 12 cards

Cardigan Ball Registration Dates

Cardigan Minor Ball is set to begin the 2019 season. We will be having 2 registration dates. Wednesday April 17 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday April 20 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Registration forms will be available on site but to speed up the process, feel free to print and complete the forms ahead of time.

Registration fees for the 2019 season will be:
T-Ball – $50.00
All other Players – $125.00
Family Rate – $250.00

Registration is at the Village Office / Firehall in Cardigan.

Cash will be accepted on site during Registration.
Cheques can be made payable to “Cardigan Minor Ball Association”.
E-Transfers are also available.

Receipts will be provided.

  • Get your logo designs for the intramural teams in to Mr. Gallison- Friday is the final day to get submissions in
  • Hat Day is Friday April 5th. For $1 you can wear any hat you like all day in school. Proceeds going to Student Government initiatives

  • This is the first day of ticket selling for Easter Seals Fundraising by Student Council. Tickets for “Lunch at Daryl’s” are selling for $1. Two lucky students will be the winner of this special prize
  • Intermediate Spring dance tomorrow at M.I.S. Wear your spring colors or florals to stay on theme!
  • Many thanks to Montague Veterinary Clinic- Georgetown Elementary School is a recipient in their “Paws For Claws” campaign, their $200 donation will go towards our Breakfast Club Program. 
  • Friday April 5 is “Wear your Hat Day” for $1 students can wear a hat all day in class!
  • French Club today after school with Mr. Bradley- 3:15-4:00 pm

The winner of the March Grade 8 Travel Draw was Shane Brousseau. Congratulations to Shane and thank you for the support for our graduating class who will be going on an end of year trip to Halifax in June.

Tickets are now on sale April’s draw, only $5 for a chance to win the $500 prize for the final draw of 2019.
