LATE FRENCH IMMERSION

Montague Intermediate will be hosting an information session for parents of students with an interest in enrolling in Late French Immersion at Montague Intermediate School

Late French Immersion would be for grade six students currently enrolled at Belfast, Cardigan, Georgetown, Montague Consolidated, Southern Kings and Vernon River Schools

Thursday February 21, 2019 ‐ 7 p.m. is the date of the information session being held at Montague Intermediate

*Registration Week is March 4 ‐ March 8 for the 2019‐2020 school year*

Friday February 15, 2019

  • Today is day 3
  • Mr. Bradley’s french students in grades 4-8 will be going to a carnival at Souris Regional School today from 11:00-2:00 pm- have fun!
  • Hornet Pick of the Week for February 15th is Gage D. in Ms. Mills K/1 class- Great job Gage on helping take the chair in after recess and following the rules of the bus
  • Georgetown and Belfast Volleyball skill development and game today after school at 4:15 p.m. here at G.E.S. – Go Hornets!
  • No School Monday February 18th for Islander Day- Enjoy your long weekend everyone!

  • Today is day 2 (PSB operating on a 1 hr delay)
  • Breakfast Club cancelled, classes begin at 10:10 am
  • IHT for grade 7 & 8 at MIS
  • Consents due back for French field trip to Souris Carnival- grades 4-8 french students 
  • School skate today at 1:45 for all grades

Tuesday, February 12th

  • Today is day 1
  • Walk of Silence today starting at 11:30 from Georgetown School
  • Welcome to staff guest Alfreda Farrish
  • Consents due back for French field trip for grades 4-8 to Souris Regional Carnival on Friday February 15
  • Volleyball development, skills and game at G.E.S. Friday Feb 15th at 4:15- grades 5-8 invited to attend, consents going home for this today.

Thursday February 7, 2019

  • Today is day 5
  • Salmon eggs have arrived, check out the cold water tank in the main lobby
  • Intermediate dance this evening at MIS. Grade 7 &8 GES students are invited to attend. $4.00 + non perishable food item. Dance is 7-9:15- hope to see everyone there!
  • Hornet Pick of the Week for Feb 4-8 was picked early- Congrats to Raylan D. in Ms. Mills K/1 class for being a wonderful student helper who always has a great attitude
  • Milk and subway orders available on the newest newsletter for next order

Salmon Eggs have Arrived at Georgetown School- check them out!

Time to slowly drop the eggs in. The water temperature is set to 2-3 degrees, to slow development and mimic the temperature in the streams right now!

Our Fish Friends just stopped by with a delivery. Everyone  will be watching these Salmon eggs closely, we are hoping for some movement by March Break!

  • Fish eggs will be arriving on Thursday to our prepared cold water tank, come and check it out!
  • Next skate will be held Thursday February 14th at Three Rivers Sportsplex. Thanks to the Board of Three Rivers Arena for donating the ice time!
