Young Millionaires Club- Deadline for application extended until June 8

What is the Young Millionaires Program?

The Young Millionaires Program is a summer business and entrepreneurship program for youth aged 8 to 16 years. The program is designed to assist youth to discover more about the world of business and help them get started in a business of their own.

Through a series of adventure workshops, participants will develop basic business skills including record keeping, marketing, customer service and public speaking skills. Workshops are designed to promote a healthy learning and interactive atmosphere.

Upon completion of the adventure workshops, participants may then submit a business plan for the opportunity to receive a non-repayable grant in exchange for their cooperation and participation in the program. Sole proprietorship’s can receive a maximum of $100, while partnerships can receive up to $150. This non-repayable grant is to be used to start up the participant’s business.

Information in the form of brochures and posters are available to students at the school applications are solely online this year and due in by June 8, 2018.

Wednesday May 30th

  • No Cooking Together meal provided to students tomorrow May 31st,  please pack bagged lunch from home
  • Congrats to all Hornet’s who participated at a rainy Track and Field Zone meet, and to Connor Gotell who will be advancing to Provincials
  • Consents to Storybook Farm can be returned to Ms. Scully and Ms. Dalziel when signed

Tuesday May 29

Calling all parents and players!

Reminder of our second free “Try Rugby Night” this Wed May 30 at Montague Regional High School 6:30-7:30pm.

We will be outdoors, and cleats or running shoes along with weather appropriate sports clothing are fine.

Rugby Canada’s Erin Kennedy, creator of Rookie Rugby, will be here to lead the session!

All kids 4-12 are welcome.

Rookie Rugby is non-contact flag based games, and focused on skill development.

We will also be doing registration support and taking t-shirt sizes for players already registered.

Looking forward to seeing everyone out!

Hornet Pick of the Week- May 25

Great big congrats going out to our deserving Hornet Pick of the Week for May 25th.  Pick for this week is one special and always smiling student, Ms. Sierra C. from Mr. Power’s grade 6 class. Great job Sierra on always showing fellow students how to best behave in our school.
