Band:

• Grade 9 band meets tomorrow morning for rehearsal.  There will be a quick meeting at lunch today for all grade 9 students involved in Honours Band this weekend.

Soccer:

• Soccer sweaters are in. Please pick up your sweaters in Mme Bernard’s room (306)

Wrestling: 

• Wrestling 3-5 today.  Tournament at UNB on Sat for all who are paid members of Wrestling PEI ($60).

Gymnastics:

• Tues 3 – 4:30

Basketball:

• 3pm – AA Boys and Girls
• 4:30 – A Girls and Boys
• Tuesday’s games:  A Boys host Immanuel Christian at 4pm; AA Boys host QC at 5:30

Destination Imagination:

• There will be no Destination Imagination after school today

Update:

We will be departing Moncton at 8:00 am. We will be arriving at the casino side of the Eastlink Centre at approximately 10:00 am for student pick up. Please note we will not be going to the school, only the Eastlink Centre.

Update:

The students are currently at the Champlain Mall stretching their legs.

We are staying at the Travelodge Moncton and will be checking in shortly after six. We will then be going to the Maple Leaf Buffet for supper after checking in. We hope to depart for PEI at 7:30 AM. We will send another update soon.

Update

Because of the most recent forecast for PEI, we have made the decision to stay in Moncton for the night. We have a hotel booked and are looking at options for supper and an evening activity. There will be an additional charge. If you have insurance it will be covered. We will update again soon.

Trip Update….

Busses will be stopping at the Champlain mall at roughly 4:30. Students can get something to eat and stretch their legs. We will re-evaluate the conditions and tentatively depart for the Aulac Irving Big Stop at seven to determine bridge and travel conditions on PEI. We will provide another update in a few hours.

The grade nine trip has departed Quebec as scheduled. The weather is clear and sunny. We will send out an update around lunch when we have a clearer picture of the forecast closer to home.

• The Birchwood Coding and Maker Club begins tomorrow, Thursday, Jan 16, from 3:00-4:30PM in Room 221. Students who have signed up are asked to pick up a permission form from Ms. Squire and to return it by Thursday.

Hockey Academy:

• 1st day for grade 7’s!!  Could students please be excused today at 1:40 to walk to Eastlink Center

Girls Soccer:

• Sweaters are in! Anyone who ordered a sweater can pick it up in Mme Bernard’s room today.
