    • Fry truck and freezies 2.00$. Students must pre-order and HR teachers will record who has paid.
    • Pledges were sent home Yesterday, Thursday Sept 19 and need to be returned by Wed Sept 25. There will be top three prizes for students.

Welcome again to Carron McCabe of Brilliant Labs who is working with students in Ms. Squire’s LA classes on a “Robotics, Coding and Storytelling”. Thank you, Carron, and enjoy your time at Birchwood.

Terry Fox:

  • Terry Fox Run will take place this Thursday afternoon. Pledges are due tomorrow, Wed as well top 3 students who raise the most money will get great gift cards from  Jacks’ pizza. Also after the run, students can buy fries/freezie for 2.00$ combo, great deal. Please preorder with your homeroom teacher.

This Wed, tomorrow, will be hat day, for 1.00$ you can wear a hat on Wed. Please pay HR teacher. 

Hockey Academy:

  • Reminder hockey academy begins for grade 8/9 students tomorrow.  Please try to have gear dropped off at Eastlink Center.


  • Congratulations to our boys and girls golf teams as they both qualified for the provincials yesterday at Countryview Golf course. Liah Mah, Ashlyn Gamester, Charlie Lynch, Connor MacFadyen, James O’Dell, Sam Murnaghan and Jack Hooley will be competing in the golf provincials next Wed at Avondale. Good luck!!!

  • Girls Soccer –  No A or AA practice today
    • AA Girls – practice tomorrow.  Please let Ms. Morrison know today if you need a ride to Thursday’s game at East Wiltshire

    • A Boys – Game at Francois Buote today (weather permitting) at 4:15.  Meet in Mr. Chaisson’s room today at BREAK to figure out drives to the game

Cross Country:

Gender & Sexuality Alliance:

  • Reminder that the first Gender & Sexuality Alliance meeting is tomorrow after school from 3-3:45pm.


  • Grade 7 band meets tomorrow at noon.  Thank you to teachers for dismissing these students at 11:45 for lunch on Wednesdays.
