Terry Fox:

  • Terry Fox run today, the weather will be much better this afternoon!! All students go to their homerooms at 1250 and Admin will call grades down to the gym at 110.  HR teachers please handout stickers to their students during this time. As well all pledges are to be turned into hr teachers. A reminder 2.00$ for fries after the run!!
  • Fry Truck: The fry wagon is here today! Please pay a $2 to your homeroom teacher for fries after the Terry Fox run.

Orange Shirt day:

  • Orange shirt day is today! All students are reminded to wear an orange shirt today. This is to recognize the legacy of Canada’s Residential Schools and to stand up and say Every Child Matters. It is also Terry Fox day, so in addition to your orange shirt, wear something comfortable for a long walk or run.


  • Band:
    • Mr. Langille will not be available today for skills testing.  Make sure complete this week’s skill in Google Classroom.
  • Glee Club:
    • Today at lunch in Mr. Underhay’s room!

Outdoor Adventure:

  • A blue coat was left on the bus after the outdoor adventure club outing yesterday. If you are missing a coat, please see Mr. Dohoo is room 225.


  • Attention all Cobras Soccer players! Sunday, Sept 30th, UPEI Panthers host the UNB REDS! 1:00pm Women’s game & 3:15 Men’s game
  • Members of the 4 BW Soccer teams have been invited to be guests of UPEI and will be featured as the ball girls & boys.  They will get a pizza party from Domino’s to thank them for their contribution. Plan to arrive 15-20 mins before game time.  Go Panthers Go! Players should dress warmly! They should wear their black Under Armour Birchwood shirt and we will have some Cobras jerseys for those who don’t have a shirt.
  • AA Girls Soccer – no practice today due to boys’ teams playing 2 home games.
  • A Boys Soccer – Birchwood hosts Gulf shore at 4:15
  • AA Boys Soccer – Birchwood hosts Stonepark at 4:15

Field Hockey:

  • Girls will practice 3-4:15 at Birchwood. Please parents pick up at Birchwood.

Girls’ Flag Football:

  • Flag football female u 16 provincial team tryouts Saturday Sept 29th
  • Central Queens school – 10 am to 12
