Home & School:

  • Home & School meeting this Wednesday, May 2nd, 6:30 in the Library. All are welcome.

There Will be no Future Goals group today after school.

Indigo Fundraiser :

  • Our Destination Imagination group will be hosting a fundraiser event this Thursday May 3rd from 5:30 to 8:30pm. All regular price purchases will support their trip to Globals later in May. Please come out to support the girls and purchase some new books!

2019 Grade 9 Trip Fundraising:

  • Any Vessey Seeds forms must be returned to Mme. Connolly in room 309 today.

Cobra Shops:

  • The UA warm up shirts will be here next week. If your child ordered one please pay online from the link above or pay in the office. Cost is $40.

  • Grade 8/9 meets tomorrow morning at 7:45am.

Flag Football:

  • Girls flag football tryouts today after school starting at 3:10 – 4:00.

Girls Softball:

  • Girls softball tryouts today, after school at 3:30 – 4:30 at John Street Field.
  • When the Parkdale Diamond is ready, practice will be 3:30 – 5:00.

Triathlon :

  • Any students interested in taking part in the PEISAA triathlon, please contact Mr.McVicar by May 1st.

Track & Field:

  • Track and Field is starting! Sign up will be outside the gym. There will be a meeting at break today. Practices will begin next week.

Book Count:  

  • Students please be sure to have all textbooks (Sci,SS,Math) with you Monday morning during homeroom as teachers will doing a quick book count.

Band:

  • Congratulations to our Grade 8/9 band on winning Gold Wednesday at the Atlantic Music Festival in Halifax!!
  • Grade 8/9 students please pick up your instruments.  Band skill for this week is due by midnight tonite.
  • Next week’s skill for all students will be posted today in class and in google classroom.

Flag Football:

  • Tryouts for the girls flag football team will be Monday after school.

  • Today all grade 7 students will be walking from Birchwood to UPEI at 10:15 a.m. to visit the Dept. of Engineering and observing their projects. Students should be dressed appropriately.

Easter Seals:

  • Get your chance to win an amazing gift basket.  Prizes include gift cards to Jack’s Pizza, Wendy’s and Dairy Queen, as well as other little surprises. Tickets are .50 each or 3 for $1.00. Draw will be next Friday

  • Congratulations to our badminton team with several great performances !!  On the Girls side Brooke Walsh, Alana Maybe and Haia Alzoubi all qualified for the Zone playoffs.  On the Boys side Carson Lund finished 4th while Aiden Arsenault and Peter Jay both finished 3rd !!  Well done team !!
