  • The Girls Volleyball team is traveling to East Wiltshire today. Please meet at break in the cafeteria to arrange drives.
  • Boys Volleyball game today after school at home.
  • Girls & Boys AA soccer teams play today:
    • Boys travel to Stonepark.
    • Girls play at home, 3:45.
  • Girls A soccer practice today, 3:00 – 4:00.
  • Girls A Volleyball practice today after school, 3:00 – 4:00.
  • Congratulations to all golfers who particpated in Birchwood’s Golf Team tryouts yesterday. The following golfers will compete at Country View Golf course on Friday at 1:00 in the Eastern Zone meet. Top two teams and top 10 individuals will move on to provincials. Please meet in room 224 today at 10:45.

  • Cross Country practice today after school.
  • Field Hockey meeting today at 10:45 in Mrs. Walsh’s room 304.


  • Future Goals program meets today after school in rm 311 from 3:00 – 4:30.
  • Outdoor Adventure Club meeting today at lunch in room 225. All members of the Thursday group must attend if they are interested in apple picking on Thursday.
  • What the School Library means to me contest is due Oct. 2nd. For more details click Here.
  • Our Student Nurses, Julie & Kristen, will be hosting Zen Zone every Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday starting today in the Art room. This is a friendly, quiet space where students can come to eat their lunch, relax, and draw and paint, if they prefer not to eat in the cafeteria.


  • Grade 8/9 band will meet every Tuesday & Friday morning at 7:45.
  • Grade 7 band meets at noon on Wednesdays.
  • New skills for all band students are now listed on the white board in the band room.


  • Congratulations to Mrs. Walsh’s class 7-6 for raising $320 for the Terry Fox run. They are the winning class and will receive a pizza party. The school raised over $1800 for Terry Fox!
